Mark your calendars! The date is April 17, 2011. Remember That The 2014 Elections Are Not That Far Away Now!
It looks like the gun freaks have won a round in The Senate on the issue of gun violence control and the bipartisan proposal to expand background checks has, for the time being, reportedly virtually gone to Hell in a handbasket.
I was going to headline this article with the words, - – - “U.S. Senate Tells Americans, “Go **** Yourselves” – - – but I thought better of it but that does not negate the fact that is exactly what I feel about the development on Capitol Hill today.
So I am going to guess that this means the crazies can still go out and buy their guns without fear that anyone will ever be the wiser that they might be a ticking time bomb just waiting to get their fuses lit so they can sally forth and do another “Sandy Hook” or “Columbine” – - – or worse.
Good job there Senators! I am sure America has every reason to be proud of how much you seem to me to care about citizen safety!
Congratulations, Big Money and Big Gun Interests! You’ve won one – - – this time! I hope anyone allied with that side of the fence sleeps soundly tonight – - – and for some strange reason, I am guessing they will – - – and that is disturbing to me for some reason.
In summation: I believe some of the elected leaders that America placed enough confidence in to put into office have just told us all just how much they are concerned about gun violence and about the possibility that any of us and/or our loved ones might be the next victims of some nut with a gun.
